Blho.net

Responsibility

The BLHO.net website was designed at the request of the client, and all changes were made in coordination with them. I used the Edumall theme to create a cohesive and user-friendly platform, integrating WooCommerce to handle payments, ensuring a smooth transaction process. Additionally, Tutor LMS was used to provide an effective learning experience for both teachers and students. Given the limitations of Zoom and Google Meet, we decided to set up a virtual server using BigBlueButton to create a stable and accessible environment for online classes.

Challenges and Solutions

Initially, we planned to make the site multilingual. However, this decision increased the site’s size and slowed down loading times. After thorough assessments and in consultation with the client, we decided to remove the WPML plugin, which improved page load speed by 20%. Additionally, based on user feedback and client discussions, we switched the main site color to a dark theme. This change resulted in a 60% increase in user engagement, as students found the dark interface more comfortable for longer study sessions. BigBlueButton enabled us to manage both private and group classes efficiently, improving the overall learning experience.

Optimization and Performance Improvement

To further enhance the site’s performance, I implemented Nginx and LiteSpeed servers, combined with Rocket plugins to ensure better speed and stability. Removing WPML also made the site more stable and easier to manage. WooCommerce was optimized to provide a seamless and secure payment process.

Lessons Learned and Results

Throughout this project, in close collaboration with the client, I learned the importance of simplifying the site’s structure and focusing on user experience. By removing unnecessary features like multilingual support and improving user engagement, we achieved better performance and satisfaction. Technical improvements, such as server optimization and plugin management, were key in boosting the site’s overall efficiency.

Logo Design

The logo was designed around the symbol of an owl, representing knowledge. The vibrant colors symbolize inclusivity and diversity, promoting equality regardless of the users’ backgrounds. Its simple design allows it to be easily adapted for use across various platforms.

This project, developed in collaboration with the client, provided valuable experience in optimizing educational platforms and enhancing user experience, allowing me to solve complex technical challenges and apply these insights to future projects.

VPNtoo.com

Responsibility

VPNtoo.com was designed to sell VPN services. This project had two main aspects: website design and creating high-quality VPN protocols. While the technical work on the VPN is still ongoing, the design phase has been completed according to the client’s requirements.

Challenges and Solutions

Initially, we started the project with the Be Themes template, but after some early reviews, we realized the design was too basic. We then decided to redesign the site using Hello Elementor and Elementor for better customization. However, during the final stages of testing, we encountered performance issues on mobile devices due to Elementor’s heavy load. To address this, we switched to the Woodmart theme, which provided more stability and better optimization for mobile, ultimately saving time and improving the mobile user experience.

Final Stage

Once the VPN protocols are finalized, the site will undergo SEO optimization using Rank Math and security configurations through plugins and server settings before final delivery to the client.

This project, though still in progress on the technical side, has successfully met all design expectations and is now prepared for the final adjustments in security and SEO.

Logo Design

In this project, after extensive research, a logotype was chosen to ensure that users could easily understand the nature of the site—selling VPN services—by reading the logo. The color green was selected for the logo due to its association with “connection” and “communication,” which perfectly aligns with the concept of VPN services. Additionally, the green color evokes feelings of trust and stability, both of which are crucial in the VPN industry.
